If Workers Defense Project had two minutes to speak to America, we'd say: Demand better protections for workers in your communities! Wage theft means not paying workers what they've earned for an honest day's work. One in every five construction workers in Texas has experienced wage theft, and there's evidence that it's almost that bad other places. We can do more to protect the people who build our nation. We need to get educated and demand policy reforms that protect workers, reward honest businesses, and penalize unscrupulous employers. And we need to do it now!
