We elect a few hundred individuals to dictate laws and how our lives will be lived. We are limiting our selves and subjected to unjust consequences due to the power forfeited over to individual politicians; they are able to impose their own agenda or the agenda of their largest campaign contributors and other unelected forces that corrupt contemporary politics. This is U.S. representative democracy, also known as a republic. We have an infrastructure of information that keeps us aware and knowledgeable globally 24/7. We experience life first hand, congress will always hear about events after and play catch up. We need solutions now! Not endless debates and meetings to have more meetings. We have a right to see that our needs be met; a country is not a country without its people, without people there are no laws to govern the land, but those of nature and physics. Direct Democracy is the solution. Take the ability to pass laws out of the hands congress and allow the people to decide our own fates.
