American was founded on the concept of freedom and individual liberty. As Americans, we often take these hard-fought freedoms for granted.

The civil rights guaranteed by the Constitution are attacked numerously and frequently. These attacks are not always from external sources, but instead are often from the politicians themselves—the very people that swore to uphold the rights they so willing cast aside.

Both political parties can be and are guilty of these infringements, and it is up to us ordinary citizens to ensure that in the end, freedom wins.
