It's your turn.
"Democracy without women is a contradiction in terms." This simple phrase spoken by Ambassador Melanne Verveer makes clear the importance of women's representation in democratic governance. The dearth of women at all levels of U.S. government - often overlooked today - is not only bad for democracy, but has a substantive impact due to the unique perspectives and approaches that women bring to politics and policy-making. This video reminds viewers that we can do better and they can help by considering a run for elected office.

Thanks for developing this video Kelly. What a great reminder about the difference that women make and why we need more women to run for office!
Our motto is, "WWWD?" (What would women do?) Imagine the possibilities!
We'll be sharing this on our FB page to encourage more votes. Good luck with the competition. http://www.facebook.com/womenandpolitics.us

This is a very important issue. We are working hard in Iowa to elect women to fill 50% of the seats in the Iowa legislature, 50% of Iowa's Congressional delegation, and a woman governor by the year 2020, the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage in the U.S. Jean Lloyd-Jones, co-chair, 50-50 in 2020

This is an amazing idea! I recently finished a film in a similar vein but with a focus on the women involved in re-writing the Icelandic Constitution. The process was extremely democratically focused and really put a spot light on the various ways one can be involved in the decisions within their society. I wish you so much luck. Feel free to check out the film and let us know what you think! www.blueberrysoupfilm.com

I liked your video. Great goal - my entry shows one focused strategy to help accomplish more informed participation. I believe it will increase voter turnout, and it provides a greater opportunity for women with no vast money backing to win. Look at my submission. "Elections Clarified" https://vimeo.com/64616892 or
