The Watchers
The Watchers is a call for us each to physically travel to the front lines of social and political divisions. The poll watchers of opposite political leanings featured in this short video make our democracy stronger simply by showing up on election day to observe voters and election officials. In a world where every kind of media always has a spectacle to distract us, we can't see what's really happening from our couch at home. If we are serious about trying to end polarization, then we need to leave our comfort zones, find a new place with unfamiliar people and situations, and be watchers.

Anything that gets people to think about the question of whether the election tallies are on the up-and-up is a good thing, because it needs questioning and it needs correcting. Many jurisdictions fail to show a valid chain of custody from voting to final tally. Citizens have to be on the alert; if our votes are not counted accurately, we cannot achieve anything by participating in politics; we live in that case in a dictatorship in effect. Equally important is getting rid of the "spoiler" effect, which requires an improved voting system http://lookingatdemocracy.org/submissions/14935-the-united-states-needs-approval-voting

If I were a judge, you'd be on my short list. You fit the criteria as well as I do. Look at my submission. "Elections Clarified" https://vimeo.com/64616892 or
